Jun 15, 2015

Whalen Thomas, son of Ben and Tina Thomas, won the national NRCA coloring contest for his age group Grades 1-3. Ben Thomas is the Field Superintendent for Ledegar Roofing, overseeing the majority of the commercial jobsites. He has been with the company since 1999.

The NRCA, National Roofing Contractors Association, holds an annual coloring contest to promote awareness of the importance of having a roof to grade school-age children, showing them the value of professional roofing contractors in their communities. It is open to children in grades 1-8 who are relatives of NRCA contractor members and their employees all across the country. You may read more information about this contest at:

Whalen was presented with an award and prizes on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Ledegar Roofing by owner and president Dan Koonce. In addition to a certificate, he won an Apple iPAD Air and gift certificate to Legoland.
